Position Title:Psychometrist - Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Clinic Department:OUHP Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Clinic Job Description:

General Description: Administers, scores, and interprets intelligence, aptitude, achievement, and other psychological tests to provide test information to teachers, counselors, students, or other specified entitled party: Gives various tests (i.e. paper and pencil, computer based, etc.) and utilizes various other testing equipment, such as picture tests, dexterity boards, etc. under standard conditions. Times tests and records results. Interprets test results in light of standard norms, and limitations of test in terms of validity and reliability.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.

  • Standardized Test Administration. Responsible for administering standardized tests following test administration protocol (i.e. perform testing under standard conditions). Also responsible for timing tests and recording results.
  • Scoring Standardized Tests. Responsible for scoring standardized tests using normative data and statistics.
  • Test Construction. Design and validate a variety of fair and unbiased data collection instruments for use in multiple programs.
  • Testing Scale Development. Identify and utilize data scaling strategies that are appropriate to the characteristics of the data.
  • Testing Studies. Conduct reliability and validity studies of internally created tests and measurements.
  • Testing Recommendation. Evaluate and make recommendations concerning the reliability and validity of externally created tests and measurements.
  • Public Representative. Responsible for contributing to the efficiency of the lab by interactions with patients, families, and trainees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's in psychology or closely related field preferred

Experience: 1 year of experience in test development, providing psychometric analysis, or monitoring procedures for item writing, test construction, scoring, and validation.

OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: None required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools.
