Contract & Grant Support Specialist RAND seeks a Contract & Grant Support Specialist to provide specialized administrative support and low complexity contract and grant administration to the office of RAND Contract and Grant Services. Under the direction of Contract and Grant Specialists, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Host department wide virtual training subscriptions and curation of associated training documents, attendance records and CLE certificate management. Assist Information Systems Administrator with data entry compliance; assist during audits (compile documents, act as a communication liaison) Compile new sponsor vetting materials for management review and risk assessment of new business partnerships. Perform administrative support for routine research related non-financial agreements such as nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, memorandums of understanding, and data use agreements. Draft simple contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines. Prepare routine correspondence and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal. Maintain and manage accurate electronic files and documentation for sponsored research agreements. Perform accounting system contract record creation and change management for agreements and modifications that are less complex and on a smaller scale or contain routine terms. Proposal support to include filling out administrative forms, assembling proposal documents (both electronic and hard copy), facilitating the mailing of hard copy proposals Provide RAND subsidiary contract support such as direct general email alias inquiries; assist with intercompany agreement issue resolution; process intercompany agreement and amendments in accounting system; and attend regular status meetings and maintain communications with subsidiary contracting office.

Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients via phone, email, remotely and in person Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint required Experience working in organizations with (federal or state) government contracting/grant environment is desirable General familiarity with various financial and non-financial agreements Organized and able to prioritize multiple deadlines Must be able to work comfortably in a matrixed/non-hierarchical environment under general guidance and supervision A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required Ability to manage a large volume of tasks, and competing priorities in a reliable, efficient manner. Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to accommodate different communication styles A self-starter who can exercise tact, courtesy and good judgment

Salary Range: $62,700 - $93,500 RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.This position is overtime eligible.
