POSITION SUMMARY: Drivers set the standard of professionalism for CSV, therefore appearance, communication skills, attitude, and customer service skills are of upmost importance. Shuttle drivers pick up customers (patients, visitors, and employees) from parking lots and facility entrances, and deliver them safely to hospital entrances and/or their vehicles. Drivers are expected to assist customers in any way possible. Incumbents will park customer vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring safety at all times, and return back to the valet station to assure that customers will not have to wait for service. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Valid Class D Drivers License to operate a motor vehicle. A driving record will be required at time of application, and it must be approved for the application to be considered for position. The Class D license must be kept in good standing for the duration of employment. . Must undergo a criminal records check and must satisfactorily complete a road driving test with a member of the Security Force. SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience providing customer service required. Experience in valet service preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Director, Loss prevention/Emergency Management Blood borne pathogen B Exposure to various body fluids, infections and contagious diseases. Appropriate universal precautions protection must be used at all times. ENVIRONMENT: The Driver will be outdoors for duration of the shift, and may be exposed to inclement weather (hot, cold, precipitation, etc.). Must be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolong sitting. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, lifting wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, baggage, etc. (in and out of vehicles). Must be able to be on one's feet for at least eight hours a day. Running up to 200 yards, 40 times a day or more. |
