Job Summary The Virtual Nurse is an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) and integrated care team member who leverages technology to collaborate with and support the needs of the bedside RN and the patient/family virtually. Two-way audio/visual technology provides the virtual nurse the ability to assist with admission and discharge activities, patient and family education, real-time patient quality and safety surveillance, proactive rounding, and staff mentoring/education. The purpose of this position is to harness the skills of an experienced RN to support and transfer knowledge to novice nurses within the organization, and to provide high-quality, remote nursing care in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Beaumont Health. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree In Nursing from an accredited program/institution 3 years of relevant experience Requires 3-years of experience in Critical, Progressive Care or Emergency Department Required 5 years of relevant experience In Critical, Progressive Care or Emergency Department Preferred LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association preferred Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross preferred CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required CRT-NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Upon Hire required CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown Nursing Upon Hire preferred How Corewell Health cares for you Comprehensive benefits package to meet your financial, health, and work/life balance goals.
