SUMMARY

Seeking an outstanding candidate to join the R&D team responsible for ANSYS circuit simulation products focusing on channel operating margin (COM), S-parameter post-processing and IBIS modeling technologies critical to customer simulation sign-off flows.

The R&D Engineer II contributes to the development of software products and supporting systems. In this role, the R&D Engineer II will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Performs development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
  • Employs software development best practices, participating in technical reviews, mentoring, planning and architecture.
  • Investigates problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions. Performs bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
  • Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues. May work with strategic customers or proxies to assess needs and develop solutions.
  • Works under the general supervision of a development manager.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2 years' experience or MS
  • Working experience with technical software development proven by academic, research, or industry projects
  • Strong background in Signal Integrity concepts and modeling



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Technical knowledge and experience with circuit device and interconnect modeling and simulation (SPICE, IBIS, Touchstone)
  • Experience with Java, C++, Python
  • Experience with UI frameworks (RCP) including Qt, Eclipse, or NetBeans
  • Understanding of softwareconfiguration management practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
