Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden is seeking three part time Clerical Assistants in the department of Enrollment Management. This role provides customer service, works to improve the quality of the student experience, and to organize the Rutgers University-Camden ( RUC) student experience in ways that facilitate student success via a host of student related services existing in two services area (Office of Financial Aid & One Stop Student Services Center). The primary role of the position is to assist students in navigating the various pathways after enrollment at RUC: processing scholarships, assist with student inquiries regarding class registration, financial aid, etc. The incumbent will act as a facilitator to resolve student service(s) issue(s); be knowledgeable about student aid eligibility and functions of the Office of Financial Aid, Registrar, and One Stop Student Services Center. S/he will provide administrative support to the Office of Financial Aid and will be in daily contact with students, families, and other University departments via phone or in-person.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
*High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.
*An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, detail oriented, work organization, coordination facilitation and bookkeeping.

Excellent communication skills and computer literacy. Sensitive to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Proven ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to analyze and interpret data and make independent decisions. Highly motivated, focused, and results-oriented. Ability to meet expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic customer-oriented environment.
