DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will undertake the safe and efficient operation of aircraft, providing air transportation for personnel of the Commonwealth. Your work will involve the operation of aircraft and the use of flight navigations and communications instruments and equipment. In addition, you will gather pre-flight data, weather, departure and arrival times, routes, and aircraft including preflight inspection. A crucial element of your duties will be to demonstrate a professional demeanor while operating the aircraft, along with the maintenance of a presentable physical appearance and exemplary personal conduct when interacting with passengers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Flexible schedule on as-needed basis.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • 3000 hours of flight experience as a licensed pilot of which at least 750 hours should be of multi-engine time and 300 hours shall be of total actual instrument time; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of an Airline Transport Certificate with at least a multi-engine rating, a commercial single engine rating and a First Class Medical Certificate as issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Additional Requirement:
  • You must have the ability to report to work location within 60 minutes of notification.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Two or more years experience flying for a corporate flight department
  • Experience operating an aircraft under Part 91 for three or more years
