DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will function as a lead worker and provide instruction to inmates through on-the-job vocational training. You will instruct inmates in food preparation, production, service, and baking. You will ensure proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations and inspecting all food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with established safety and sanitation standards. In addition, you will ensure that meals are prepared and served in a timely manner. Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (40 hours per week)
- Work hours to be determined (5:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM). You will work rotating shifts with rotating days off.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,986.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
