DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform professional work providing protective services, social services, or referrals for other services for older adults. You will be responsible for obtaining information from consumers and caregivers to complete risk assessments and for assessing all available information in order to make determinations and develop care plans with consumers. Other responsibilities include investigating sites for clients at risk and initiating procedures for court related intervention and guardianship cases. You will also be expected to participate in supervision, scheduled meetings, annual enrichment, and other trainings required. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Aging Care Manager 2 or Aging Program Assessor; or
- One and one-half years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes six months of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
