DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will report to the Clerical Supervisor. This employee will perform a variety of office and specialized clerical activities for the County Maintenance Office. The CA2 assists the Clerical Supervisor, County Equipment Manager, Mechanic Supervisor(s) and garage personnel with administrative activities related to the front office, equipment maintenance, and garage functions. The CA2 will also serve as primary County Training Liaison for all equipment and non-equipment trainings. Responsibilities include input of equipment certifications in Success Factor, creating classes, enrolling/un-enrolling and following up with participants for in house trainings. These trainings include Dark Hours, Safety Stand Down Days, Flagger Training, Safe Driver, SIT/MAT, Tar Kettle Operations, First Aid/CPR training; as well as communicating training to the employee, running reports and keeping the county training matrix updated. Coordinates with the District Training Coordinator on training needs, issues, and reporting on programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
