The USC Office of Undergraduate Admission is seeking an Assistant Director to assist with the management of the USC Admission Center. The USC Admission Center receives over 100,000 guests throughout the year.

Some of the primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

* Provides forward facing and general oversight of guest arrival experience, check-in/welcome process, flow of guests, and assessment of guest needs -particularly those with admission questions involving domestic and international students and prospective students

* Counsels prospective students and acts as a lead counselor for the USC Admission Center

* Responds to non-standard situations and complex admission questions

* Manage daily student staff scheduling in collaboration with an Associate Director

* Assist with the supervision of student staff, event preparation, tour follow-ups, payroll procedures, budget oversight, and coordination with the Orientation team on all events (daytime, evening, and weekend events)

* Serve as technology, purchasing, and facilities coordinator for the USC Admission Center

Other responsibilities include:

Manages all aspects of a recruitment and admission on behalf of the USC Admission Center. Makes presentations on behalf of the Admission Center for high school, community colleges, guidance counselors, prospective students and parents. Provides consultative services to students and families about the college search and selection process. Serves as an expert regarding the college admission process for college counselors, principals and heads of schools in assigned territory. Interviews prospective students to evaluate suitability for admission. Evaluates applications, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and makes admission decisions. Researches and evaluates the demographic and academic characteristics of those from various geographic territories, school groups, and/or targeted student populations, to support the USC Admission annual recruitment outreach plan. May be asked to develop market analysis and competitor intelligence regarding the USC Admission Center. Recommends and develops new approaches to attracting the most competitive candidates to the university. Provides strategic and analytical support to the USC Admission Center.

The annual base salary for this position is $66,560.04. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
