Our team consists of program managers who lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, ushering projects through the entire lifecycle - managing schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's up to these program managers to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Assist program managers with managing business correspondence to support student researchers attending Google-sponsored events
  • Partner with our student researchers to coordinate details of event attendance Communicate with specified contacts to facilitate smooth transition for student researchers in event attendance
  • Partner with Program Managers on tasks regarding faculty funding programs
  • Partner and collaborate with third party vendors to oversee ordering, shipping, and fulfillment of promotional materials to specification - Cross-functional teamwork and follow-up
Required Skills:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail
  • Proficient in Google products (e.g., Gmail, calendar, spreadsheets, slides, docs)
  • Autonomy and responsiveness; ability to take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, and to positively contribute in a fast-paced and changing work environment
  • Experience working with and influencing senior engineers/stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; sense of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
  • Passion, team spirit and outstanding customer service focus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in program/event management a plus
  • Experience managing multiple projects/events
  • Advanced skills with spreadsheets, Google Slides
  • Marketing & branding
Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $19.71 - $21.39 per hour, dependent on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
