Responsibilities

We are adding a VMWare Administrator to the team supporting our FDA Program.

What you will do:

    Provide daily operational and project support for the FDA Windows server and VMware environment.
  • Maintain stability of environment by performing regularly scheduled maintenance (Hardware/Software) patching and upgrades.
  • Create / maintain technical documentation for supported systems.
  • Maintain stability of environment by performing regularly scheduled maintenance (Hardware/Software) patching and upgrades.
  • Responsible for compliance of all assigned hardware, equipment, and configurations.
  • Automate processes in the VMware environment, including scripting experience/expertise using PowerShell, etc.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to existing technologies, new technologies determined to be relevant in meeting both the strategic and tactical plans of the organization.
  • Position is 8-5 ET and requires participating in a 24/7 on-call schedule.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with complete compute infrastructure supporting physical, virtual (VMware), and cloud (public, hybrid) compute environments, equivalent experience providing operational support for virtualized environments using VMware vSphere.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using VMware vSphere, Windows OS, and VMware vRealize Suite.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or other ticketing systems
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

  • Work experience with storage, network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
