Summary

This is a unique Food & Beverage opportunity to work near one of the country's most beloved national parks. The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for all onsite food & beverage operations including, but not limited to, the restaurant, bar, grab & go, and coffee outlets. They are accountable for all operational finances including forecasting, budget planning and writing, purchasing, scheduling, and inventory management. The General Manager is responsible for team member engagement and management, upholding brand standards, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of the food and beverage menus
  • Ensure all team members have required certifications for food and alcohol handling
  • Able to travel for task force work at another location when requested
  • Face challenges with resourcefulness and positive attitude
  • Respond and react quickly to ever changing situations on property
  • Establish and professionally communicate in all interactions
  • Resolve guest and team member issues quickly and efficiently
  • Interview, hire, coach, document, and conduct team member performance reviews
  • Identify opportunities and create action plans to enhance and optimize food and beverage operation
  • Work independently with minimal oversight
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, vendors, and communities
  • Be growth oriented
  • Evaluate, develop, and report on NPS and eNPS action plans
  • Monitor financial performance to drive business decisions, adjust spending as needed
  • Forecast and plan operating budget, prepare monthly critiques & operational decks
  • Set and deliver on goals which support company-wide goals in finance, guest satisfaction, and team member engagement
  • Lead and support team members in individual growth and career advancement plans
  • Create positive work environment that is guest-focused
  • Ensure that all SOPs and expectations are implemented, updated, and maintained
  • Collaborate with property management and the corporate team
  • Prioritize tasks effectively
  • Participate in property level and company-wide meetings
  • Submit high quality work products in a timely manner
  • Promote company sustainability initiatives
  • Ensure all operational areas/outlets, both front and back of house, are clean and equipment is maintained and functional
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of multi-outlet Food & Beverage Management experience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, preferably hotels or hospitality
  • Previous culinary experience to support menu development
  • Knowledge of federal food safety standards and current Food Safety Manager certification required
  • Track record of managing profitability through proper staffing, effective control of food, beverage, and labor costs and achieving budgeted targets
  • Willingness to learn and embrace company policies, practices and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures
Additional Information
  • Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time, including during extreme heat and cold or weather events
  • Able to stand and move for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50lbs independently
  • Stand and walk over slippery and/or uneven natural walking surfaces for periods of workday
  • Bending and stooping often
  • This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
