Global Billing Credit and Collections Project Manager
The Global Billing, Credit & Collections (GBCC) team aims to provide an exemplary service to all our customers. Join our team as a Global Billing, Credit and Collections, Project Manager. Job Summary: This is a critical role supporting the GBCC team to deliver key internal transformation projects and wider Equinix cross-functional projects, ensuring that professional standards are followed. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering Global Policy, Process, People and system change within GBCC, and our key contact and co-ordinator on cross-functional Equinix projects - keeping our customers' experience firmly at the heart of what we do. With a strong focus on the enabling the success of our GBCC Operation, you will be responsible for stakeholder management, capex management tracking, and running project review meetings. You will build effective relationships with global stakeholders internally, and with our wider Finance, Sales, Customer Service and Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Teams, ensuring successful program execution. Furthermore, you will be responsible for planning, communications, risk management, project/program delivery, and virtual team leadership. Responsibilities:
Planning:
- Provide inputs into strategic business cases, contributing to the development of program objectives and goals.
- Develop comprehensive plans for complex projects, coordinating and leading multiple functional teams (internally and externally) to deliver strategic business cases.
Stakeholder Management:
- Use language and change skills to engage, motivate, inspire and drive a passion to embrace change in our GBCC Operational and Strategy and Transformation teams
- Work closely with our Strategy and Transformation Teams to understand the changes they are making and encourage early engagement with the Project Team
- Building robust relationships with our Global Billing, Credit and Collections Operational Team, understand the challenges and different regulatory, compliance and cultural dynamics in each region and work closely to ensure Operational readiness for change delivery
- Use your strong stakeholder management skills to drive clear decision making, and conflict resolution
- Represent our GBCC brand to the wider Equinix business
Communications:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the program lifecycle.
- Complete stakeholder analysis, know your stakeholders, anticipate responses to change to adapt project communications to your audience. Work with the Change Manager to deliver engaging comms to our stakeholders
- Responsible for the creation, collation, and delivery of concise project reporting to our Leadership team
Risk Management:
- Manage complex and risks across projects and strategic initiatives, employing proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
- Apply lateral thinking and analytical skills to analyse available information and solve complex problems that may arise during program execution.
Project/Program Delivery:
- Take ownership of the successful delivery of global/regional strategic projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coach and provide guidance to wider enablement team members, fostering their knowledge growth on Project Management methodology and purpose
- Managing project review boards, you will ensure that key strategic initiatives are monitored, evaluated, and guided by a diverse group of stakeholders, contributing to the successful execution of programs and the achievement of organizational goals.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Ensures KPI's are in place for all changes delivered which are appropriate for the needs of the function and its stakeholders
- Develop the strategic Project Management roadmap aligned to our GBCC/wider business Transformation/Continuous Improvement and BAU initiatives
- Conduct lessons learned following implementation of all projects, taking on board stakeholder feedback and using this to shape and improve future deliveries
Qualifications:
- Proven years of related experience in Finance transformation, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering complex Billing, Credit and Collections projects. Demonstrate an understanding of the quote to cash lifecycle
- Project Management certification qualified (Managing Successful Programs, PRINCE2, APMP etc) showcasing expertise in program management methodologies and best practices
- Highly proficient in production of presentation content and slideware, and verbal delivery to global stakeholders
- Flexible approach to working hours to support other global time zones, and willingness to be on-site in the nearest Equinix Hub a minimum of 2 days per week (Tuesday plus Wednesday/Thursday unless otherwise advised)
Desirable:
- Candidates with a background of working in datacentre, telecommunication or utilities companies
- Experience of delivering change for a large number of Operational users
- Experience of working with Oracle Cloud software
