Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. 10 years of experience in Food & Beverage
upper-level management, including restaurants, banquets, and catering.
General Management experience preferred, but not required.
Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is a senior management role responsible for overseeing the Front of House Service Staff within the Food & Beverage Division at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel. This position encompasses the management of all service team members across various sectors, including Banquets, Off-Premise Catering, and Retail Outlets such as the Bulldog Bistro and Savannah Room. In addition to operational management, the Assistant Director will play a crucial role in budget oversight and strategic planning for the division, ensuring effective management of payroll and expenses. This position also involves evaluating management performance to drive operational excellence. The Assistant Director will uphold rigorous employee onboarding standards, which include recruiting, training, and providing ongoing professional development to foster a high-performing team
