Job SummaryThe Proposal Analyst is responsible for leading a deadline driven proposal process, which includes , gathering and organizing information in response to Requests for Information (RFIs) and for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Executive Summaries for prospective/renewal clients.. The Proposal Analyst will ensure all responses are current, well written and accurately reflect key messages, products, and services. The position manages all aspects of the proposal process from receipt to completion and collaborates with various levels of management/subject matter experts (SMEs) within the company (i.e., Region Presidents, Sales Executives, Client Managers, Underwriters, Sales Support, Operations, Legal, Managed Care teams, etc.). Responsible for providing exceptional customer service, which includes responding with RFP information that is complete, accurate and timely.

Job Description:

  • Manage the proposal process from initial kick-off meetings through completion and serve as the main point of contact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple RFPs/RFIs that range in complexity from simple to moderately complex and assist with large, complex RFPs/RFIs as needed.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs within multiple lines of business including In-Market ADM, Tribal, Out of Market and Hospital/Health System/Direct to Employer.
  • Ensure adherence of the proposal process by creating responses to RFPs/RFIs using our proposal management software, coordinating with SMEs and other team members and other resources to ensure timely and comprehensive completion of required responses.
  • Ensure responses are clear, concise, complete, accurate and well written responses to RFP/RFI questions; identify and gather appropriate exhibits to support responses and requirements, and ensure the proposal is completed professionally and meets all deadlines.
  • Send new and updated responses to Content Manager for addition to the proposal management database.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with RFP team, Sales Executives, Region Presidents, Sales Support and SMEs.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of existing and new products, services, networks, vendors, partners and subcontractors
  • Provide support to team members and other internal stakeholders as needed
  • Training, tasks/projects as needed/assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required.
  • Three years of previous experience working with RFPs/proposals
  • Additional Job Qualifications:
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple RFPs/RFIs simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
  • Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Document/file management skills using Microsoft Windows Explorer
  • Minimal travel required (yearly sales summit and others as required)

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an insurance or third-party benefit administration environment
  • Project and/or process management experience
  • Experience working in RFP/proposal software, such as Qvidian or Responsive
  • Salesforce experience

The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Min to Max Range:

$55,300.00 - $103,800.00
