WHAT WE OFFER

The purpose of the role is to take ownership of the safety, quality, and production of our products by:

  • Driving a safety first and quality always mindset with their teams
  • Managing their teams to ensure efficient production of our products
  • Collaborating with peers across shifts and departments (warehouse, QC, and maintenance)
  • Responsible for unit/plant operations, especially to keep established timing, quality, and cost standards, as well as personnel management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Follow legal & corporate requirements regarding HSE, resulting in no incidents and continuous improvement of HSE results.
  • Authorize safe work permits and overrides for the plant in line with the respective SOPs.
  • Lead the daily production meetings and report deviations which have a HSE or quality impact and yield losses or production delays that have a capacity impact.
  • Understand the process, troubleshoot basic problems that arise, and escalate issues when required to ensure a prompt resolution, when possible.
  • Take full accountability for the supervision of all operators on your shift and the duties to be completed to ensure the production schedule is carried out to meet customer orders on time and in full.
  • Lead, organize, and supervise the quality, flexibility, and exchangeability of the team in the different positions in the plant, in order to meet planned quantities to be produced by the shift.
  • Motivate, coach, recognize, and hold accountable, when necessary, all of your direct reports. This includes conducting performance evaluations with them.
  • Conduct SAP transactions including batch data entry, pack-out entry, and label printing.
  • Contribute pro-actively to the continuous improvement of processes, working environment, and standards, based on theoretical and practical knowledge of the processes and equipment.
  • Work within the boundaries of the collective bargaining agreement.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience or
  • Associates degree and 6 years of experience or
  • High School Diploma and 11 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Previous Supervisory Experience

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Communication and information in respective unit and with main, interfaces, e.g. production goals and facility changes
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
