Job Summary

Provide HR support services from within the Administrative Services Center (ASC) by providing front-line customer service and support to employees, managers, and HR staff for questions or issues related to Human Resources. Ensure compliance with Institute policies and procedures in addition to required federal and local regulations. Manage and coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process and acts as the initial point of contact for new employees following offer acceptance. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Talent Services, Human Resources, University System of Georgia (USG) Shared Services Center (SSC), hiring managers, and job candidates. This position typically will advise and counsel: Talent Services, Human Resources, SSC staff, hiring managers, and job candidates. This position will supervise: N/A.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Take a proactive role serving as a front-line resource to assist newly hired Georgia Tech employees by providing guidance, answering inquiries, and offering support pertaining to initiating their employment with Georgia Tech.
Job Duty 2 - Own and manage the pre-employment process. Initiate actions and communicate statuses with prospective employees and internal stakeholders.
Job Duty 3 - Initiate and analyze background checks and other pre-employment activities for new employees. Escalate pre-employment actions to stakeholders where appropriate.
Job Duty 4 -Respond to hiring managers and prospective hires with updates on clearance status.
Job Duty 5 - Facilitate section two of the onboarding process I-9 for Staff, Facility, Tech Temps, Affiliates, and Student Workers.
Job Duty 6 - Verify new hires' acceptable forms of identification and upload the documentation into Equifax Compliance Center. Ensure that all onboarding paperwork is updated, complete, and compliant in Equifax Compliance Center.

Job Duty 7 - Notarize required documents, as appropriate.
Job Duty 8 - Provide general information on benefits, the New Employee Experience event, campus parking, and identification cards.
Job Duty 9 - Complete direct-hire form for various entries to include Employee, Student, Temp, and Affiliates
Job Duty 10 - Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.

Required Experience
Two to three years of job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience
Four to six years of job-related experience.

Proposed Salary

$19.98-$23.00 hourly
