Job title: Senior Director of Service Management - Cell, Gene, and Advanced Therapies

Current Need:

McKesson is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Service Management to lead our Cell, Gene, and Advanced Therapies IT Service Offering. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a profound understanding of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, specifically within the cell and gene therapy landscape. The Senior Director will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing complex projects, and leading a high-performing matrixed technology team to deliver innovative solutions that meet regulatory standards and customer needs. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership acumen to propel our advanced therapy solutions to new heights. Primary Responsibilities

  • Is the primary liaison between Mckesson Technologies (MT) and the CGAT business product team to understand and meet their service needs.
  • Develop and implement service management strategies aligned with CGAT business goals.
  • Owns the CGAT delivery roadmap for MT
  • Plan and manage CGAT services to ensure they meet current and future business requirements.
  • Coordinates across all solution delivery organizations to ensure CGAT services align with the CGAT product roadmaps and business objectives.
  • Manages the overall MT budget for CGAT
  • Conduct regular assessments of CGAT services to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that new and changed services are transitioned into the operational environment smoothly.
  • Develop and maintain service catalogues and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee the incident management process to ensure timely resolution of CGAT service issues.
  • Oversee the release management process to ensure new services and updates are deployed successfully.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and support.
  • Conduct regular service reviews with customers to gather feedback and address concerns.
  • Ensure CGAT services comply with relevant regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with CGAT services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve CGAT service delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the CGAT service management team.
  • Acts as an industry subject matter expert; influences all CGAT technical decisions.
  • Promotes customer satisfaction through professional and courteous interactions with customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Maintains and enhances professional and technical knowledge and expertise in relevant technologies and strategies through learning events such as attendance at formal training programs, industry seminars, and self-education.
  • Troubleshoots problems and reports operational issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience Significant experience (typically 10-15+ years) in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or Specialty healthcare industry, experience within cell and gene therapy sectors a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role (5-7+ years) with responsibilities that include managing teams, strategic planning, and overseeing complex projects.

  • Leadership and Team Building: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and build high-performing teams.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to solve complex problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across various departments, including product management, delivery, regulatory, marketing, and sales
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation with the ability to understand and address customer needs and challenges..

Additional Knowledge & Skills (Preferred)

  • Healthcare knowledge and experience, highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CGAT workflows and applications, highly preferred.

Education

  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience preferred. Graduate degree a plus.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $179,900 - $299,800
