Job Summary:
UW Veterinary Care (UWVC) is excited to welcome a ECC Veterinary Nurse Trainer to their growing team! This position is responsible for supporting operations of UW Veterinary Care (UWVC) Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) and Intermediate Care Ward (IMCW) units. Incumbent will be expected to onboard and train new veterinary staff (CVTs and vet assistants) on basic skills for success in the ECC and IMCW, as well as assisting with hands-on patient care in the small animal hospital. Responsibilities: Assists veterinarians in the care of animals. Prepares and performs the most complex animal care procedures or serves as an expert in a specialized animal care area, and serves as a resource and lead to other technicians and student employees.

Education: Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years experience as a certified veterinary technician required. Past experience with training/teaching is strongly desired.
