Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for aClinic Registered Nurse (RN)to join our team! This position will supportthe Radiation Oncology Department at our 12221 Renfert Way location in Austin, Texas. This is a full-time Monday-Friday hours (7:30am-4pm or possibly four tens) position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. Note from Hiring Manager: In this role, you will specialize in the preparation, monitoring, and support the administration of radiopharm therapies including Pluvicto and Lutathera. These therapies are used to treat advanced prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors, respectively. As a radiopharm nurse, you will work closely with our radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine specialist, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery. Your responsibilities will include patient education on treatment protocols, radiation safety, and potential side effects, as well as pre and post treatment monitoring and triaging patient needs between infusion appointments. This role also involves maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and being in close contact with radioactive materials with strict safety protocols. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communciation and organizational skills, a strong clinical background, and a passion for delivering compassionate patient care. Previous experience in oncology or radiation/radiopharmaceuticals is preferred but not required. What does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do? Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participates in company-wide quality initiatives.
