Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MED-Psych & Behavioral Science Job Summary: The Research Data Analyst position is part of the Mental Health Services and Policy Program (MHSPP) within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (PBS) at the Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM), Northwestern University (NU). MHSPP's mission is to improve the well-being of children and families who rely on publicly funded mental health services by conducting research, evaluations, and providing technical assistance. The program is staffed by a diverse team, including psychologists, health services researchers, social workers, database administrators, and data analysts. This Research Data Analyst role will provide data management, quality assurance, analysis and reporting for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IL-DCFS) under a contract with NU/MHSPP. The analyst will interpret findings and generate decision-support reports for various stakeholders, ensuring the information is clear and actionable. The role also involves setting and maintaining high standards for data quality, identifying and resolving data-related issues, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all reporting. The analyst will collaborate with MHSPP faculty, researchers, and external partners to align data insights with program objectives and inform decision-making. All tasks will be carried out in compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Northwestern University Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines. Key responsibilities include: utilizing multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets from a variety of sources and interprets results using various techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining; assisting in the design, development and implementation of business solutions partnering with clients to identify analytical requirements; and compiling reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods. Target hiring range for this position will be between $56,782 - 79,850 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
