Department: Kellogg Mgt and Organizations

Nour Kteily and Eli Finkel-Professors in the Management and Organizations (MORS) Department of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University-invite applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. The primary criterion for acceptance is research excellence relevant to constructively navigating conflict between individuals or groups. The position is slated to start in August or September of 2025 and last for approximately two years. Salary is approximately $75,000 plus moving expenses, and the position will have access to research funding, including for independent projects. Prior to the beginning of the fellowship, applicants must have completed a PhD in a social science discipline (e.g., organizational behavior, sociology, psychology, economics) or in a related discipline that can inform the social sciences (e.g., computer science or other disciplines that afford a computational perspective).

Applicants are encouraged to identify how their interests might overlap with those of Professors Kteily and Finkel. Applicants should submit up to three names for potential letter-writers, whom we may contact for additional information. The Fellow is expected to become actively involved in the MORS intellectual community, including by regularly participating in colloquia, workshops, and research seminars. The Fellow is also welcome to audit PhD courses.

For full consideration, please submit application materials by Monday, December 16, 2024. After this date, applications will continue to be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled. You will be asked to submit (1) a cover letter identifying why this position interests you, (2) a current CV, (3) a research statement that makes clear how your work is broadly relevant to conflict resolution and "enlightened disagreement," and (4) up to two publications or manuscripts. You will also be asked to provide the name and contact information for 2-3 people who can submit recommendation letters on your behalf. (Letters should not be submitted as part of the application; name and contact information is sufficient). Apply here: <>
