Summary:

Goldbelt, Inc. is in search of a Payroll Clerk in Juneau, AK. Performs tasks to maintain employee records and pay employees. Performs duties in order to support the day-to-day functions of the Payroll Department payrolls for weekly, and bi-weekly, multi-state payrolls. Download standard reports and run custom written reports as required.

If the candidate is hired and lives in Juneau, AK, they must work on-site from our Juneau, AK office.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor and review timesheets
  • Reviewing new hires in ADP and Costpoint
  • Set up login for new hires in Costpoint Time and Expense
  • Download and save all post ADP payroll reports
  • Run custom payroll reports in ADP
  • Prepare post payroll reports such as 401K, net checks, union dues as needed
  • Process 401K funding and reports to 401K plan provider per pay period
  • Process Child Support, Tax Levies and Wage Garnishments in ADP. Contact agencies when necessary
  • Assign tickets in Zendesk
  • Respond to tickets in Zendesk regarding employee questions
  • Investigating and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Data entry into payroll spreadsheets, Costpoint and ADP
  • Assist in annual audits, 401K, Worker's Comp, DOL etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong accounting skills
  • Detail-oriented with error-free work
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Critical thinking skills along with sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic corporate environment
  • Skill in working harmoniously within cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Possesses attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers and with outside agencies, partners, shareholders, and business associates
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt messages and strategies for diverse audiences
  • Basic understanding of relevant software, tools, and systems used in the corporate environment. This includes a proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or 1- 2 years of payroll processing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense a plus
  • Service Contract Act & Davis Bacon Act experience a plus

The salary range for this position is $46,600 - $67,600 annually.
