LinQuest is seeking a Data Security and Governance Analyst, to join our team in San Antonio TX. LinQuest is seeking a Data Security and Governance Analyst, to join our team in San Antonio TX. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance are required.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, hand selected data engineering team that is establishing the data management and governance standards for the Airmen Development Command. You will support data engineering activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will work remote and integrate closely with the Government Customer.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Participate in data security and governance implementation to assess and ensure compliance with data security and data governance requirements
  • Ensure data security principles are embedded in data engineering efforts for airmen development
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement data management standards, including data security, for the Airmen Development Command
  • Evaluate and apply government data security (DoD, NIST, FIPS, and CNSS) policies and instructions as necessary
  • Conduct program and technical risk assessments to determine necessary data security protection measures
  • Support Command Data Officer in consulting with customers and developers to provide solutions to challenging data security architectures and develop written materials to clearly articulate the solutions to leadership
  • Interface with other government organizations during security evaluation of data engineering design solutions
  • Integrate data security assessments into developmental and operational testing and evaluation plans
  • Evaluate the continued effectiveness of implemented data management standards within the authorization boundary



Required Skills and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of work experience in data security may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree
  • Comp TIA Security + or equivalent certification
  • 3+ years technical problem solving to ensure that integration of standards throughout a very complicated organizational structure with a wide variety of data systems
  • 3+ years MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of data governance principles
  • US citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance


Preferred Skills and Experience:



  • Comp TIA A+ or equivalent certification
  • Comp TIA Network+ or equivalent certification
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with DOD customers
  • 2+ years of IT technical support experience
  • Experience with variety of data and analysis systems (Oracle, SAP, SQL)
  • Experience implementing data standards including DOD and US regulatory compliance
