About the Role:

The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead high-impact projects to optimize operational efficiency, drive innovation, and implement process improvements across Wabash. This role will leverage advanced engineering principles, project management expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver strategic outcomes aligned with organizational goals. The Senior Industrial Engineer serves as a mentor and technical resource for junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering professional development within the team. A qualified candidate will utilize LEAN concepts to identify/eliminate waste and perform time/motion studies.

Your Responsibilities:




  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing large-scale process improvement initiatives to optimize production, logistics, and operational workflows.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and methods (e.g., predictive analytics, simulation modeling) to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Develops and deploys plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources
  • Work with scheduling and demand planning teams to create optimized production plans and provide capacity planning analysis
  • Interact with production management daily on all matters relating to staffing requirements and IE activities.
  • Helps determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
  • Perform cycle time and bottleneck analysis. Create standard work instructions and operating procedures
  • Work with plant leadership to improve productivity, quality, and throughput
  • Perform manpower planning/leveling/adjustments per volume adjustments and labor and ergonomic studies



Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field of study (Preferred: Industrial Engineering)
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with CAD, PowerBI, SQL, Data Analytic as well as excellent problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience with time/motion studies and development of standardized work
  • Knowledge of pre-determined time studies
  • Demonstrated experience with waste categorization, elimination and line balancing activities
  • Demonstrated experience using MES and SAP systems
  • Ability to apply strong principles and analytical techniques to continuously improve the manufacturing process
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of traditional lean manufacturing systems
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • 20% travel required
