What You'll Do
|
Summary/Objective: Direct, coach and assist a Team within the Consumer Loan Department. Ensure adherences to all Credit Union's lending policies and procedures which include security compliance and following the guidelines intended to limit risk exposure to fraud and losses. The Consumer Lending Team Leader is responsible for effectively managing and supervising the workflow and productivity of their team to support the achievement of department and credit union goals and initiatives. - Plan, organize, and supervise the workflow of team members in an effort to maintain effective productivity consistent with department standards, expectations, and goals.
- Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, developing, promoting, and disciplining subordinates within current policies and procedures.
- Develop the Consumer Loan MSRs, Specialists, and Loan Officers through continuous coaching, training, and cross-training to ensure proficiency in all aspects of their job and prepare them for future advancement.
- Manage staff performance through the utilization of the Performance Management Tools and reports. Provide timely feedback, set performance goals, review individual progress, and maintain monthly performance documentation. Write and deliver quarterly and annual performance evaluations to Team members.
- Inform Management of any performance issues, proactively establish follow-up actions.
- Respond timely to member escalations, inquiries, and/or complaints to ensure proper resolution.
- Provide backup coverage to other Team Leaders within the department to ensure adequate staff and member assistance and support at all times.
- Maintain a complete knowledge of all DCU products and services, including direct and indirect consumer loan programs, loan policies and loan guidelines.
- Support and work with all other business areas to increase their consumer loan proficiency and to ensure members are provided with quick and accurate information.
- Process employee, Management, and Directors' loan applications, as well as "work out" loans. Provide a thorough and accurate application with all required authorizations.
- Continuously look for ways to streamline the application process and increase the Consumer Loan closure ratio through the use of outbound calls and sales skills.
- Participate in and/or facilitate project teams and focus groups.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s).

What You'll Need
|
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years' previous consumer lending and customer service experience
- Previous supervisory experience
