Lubbock Director of Finance and Administration 39356BR School of Law Position Description Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operations and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgement. About the Department and/or College The School of Law has approximately 440 students and 38 full-time faculty members. The School of Law is an integral part of the University and offers 10 dual-degree programs with other Texas Tech schools and colleges. The School of Law has a strong focus on students and is committed to a practical education to produce practice-ready graduates. Major/Essential Functions Supervises other staff in the business office. Counsels faculty, staff, and students on proper procedures for procurement and travel. Prepares internal financial reports for the school's departments and centers and coordinates with the Texas Tech Law School Foundation. Prepares the annual operating budget in collaboration with the Dean's office. Provides preliminary analyses and reports as requested for budget hearings and budgetary requests. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. No Job Type Full Time Pay Basis Monthly Minimum Hire Rate 4352.42 Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
