Materials & Process Lab Senior Associate needed for a contract role in Palm Bay, FL Job Description: Engineering Services Senior Associate qualified to develop, execute, and support evaluation, testing, and analysis of metallic, polymer, and composite materials used in Aerospace and Defense programs. Qualifications: Develop and perform destructive and non-destructive techniques to test material properties with analytical methods. Interface with internal customers to assist in the evaluation and application of numerous materials and processes relevant to the technical activities Work in a hands-on laboratory environment involving hazardous chemicals and conditions where safety needs to be maintained using appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to handling procedures. Generate reports of completed work for program/quality/design teams, management, and customers Receive and analyze materials following all supplied detailed instructions and procedures Make observations and interpret findings Design and execute laboratory testing according to in-house procedures, Quality processes, and industry standards such as ASTM, ICP, and ISO Work with technicians and engineers to supply programs accurate results and recommendations Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and assist in ordering supplies Follow all safety guidelines Ability to plan and work on multiple projects at one time delivering results to required schedules Requirements: Requires practical knowledge of Materials and Process Engineering lab or similar background. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Able to analyze and interpret the data Experience working in a hands-on laboratory environment involving hazardous chemicals and conditions Practical knowledge of Materials and Process Engineering lab or similar background. (2-6 years) Familiar with Quality processes, and industry standards such as ASTM, ICP, and ISO In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the pay rate for this role is $28/hr/hr-$40/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
