Systems Architect Level 4

This position requires an active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph clearance or the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.

Cherokee Preting is seeking an exceptionally qualified, detail-oriented individual to serve as the Systems Architect supporting our Defense Intelligence Agency client. The Systems Architect is a critical position within the program and requires an IT architect with an understanding of DoD ISR and is capable of working in a multi-national team environment that is focused on partnering with Commonwealth partner nations. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Systems Architect Level 4: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Systems Architect Level 4 Responsibilities Include:



  • Supports the development of cross functional or large-scale automated information systems to include enterprise architectures.
  • Designs system architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements and provides for present and future cross functional requirements and interfaces.
  • Provides comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance.
  • Performs evaluation of system alternatives of mission needs to verification of system performance.
  • Researches, identifies, and recommends new/emerging technologies and technical trends that add value across the enterprise.
  • Maintains knowledge of the practices, methods, and techniques to design and analyze complex systems, servers, and network topologies.
  • Initiates, analyzes, and leads system architecture initiatives.
  • Works with geographically dispersed team to develop an architectural vision and roadmap.
  • Identifies and works with customer to coordinate appropriate resources to ensure optimum system efficiency.
  • Design and implement application components, and integrate with external services.
  • Lead technical response (system architecture discussions) to customer IT requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned



Systems Architect Level 4 Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Must meet one of the following:

    • High School Diploma or GED and 16 years of relevant experience
    • Associate's degree and 14 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience
    • Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience
    • PhD and 8 years of relevant experience

  • Strong technical communication skills to communicate systems proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systems.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing, leading, and executing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating networks, highly complex hardware and software systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with network management, active directory, and PKI.
  • DoD 8570 IAT III compliant certification
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
