Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a Salesforce Architect & Tech Development Lead with technical insight in multiple fields and disciplines to serve as Systems Architect supporting the Veterans Benefits Administration. This support to the business integration office will serve to implement short-ranged projects and long-range planning. The Systems Architect will coordinate work with the technical leads certified in SaaS and PaaS solutions including Salesforce, Power Dynamics, Pega, Service Now, and other Solution Delivery platforms. The primary expertise requested initially is as a Salesforce Design Architect and Salesforce Development Team Lead to target our most pressing schedule of work to guide and deliver to our customers.

What you'll do:

    The Salesforce Architect would help lead the work with VA's DTC, VA OBI, and other VA stakeholders to learn and incorporate all relevant standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures in support of its configuration of the VA SaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • The Systems Architect would ensure all team members work in sandboxes, provided by DTC, within the VA's SaaS and PaaS environments to build and test desired functionality.
  • The Systems Architect would ensure all team members deliver capability through a series of agile configuration-based sprints utilizing Human Center Design (HCD), SaaS and PaaS configuration, and data driven feedback.
  • The Systems Architect will help validate the technical design against engineering/data architecture requirements and help identify and resolve any issues prior to finalizing design and beginning configuration.
  • The Systems Architect will help capture the information for new features and enhancements, as well as for the entire release package for the configuration, development and integration services, quality assurance and automation testing.
  • Additional responsibilities may include the following:
    • Establish the detailed system architecture, to include system schematics, system and subsystem performance-based descriptions and key interfaces between them.
    • Support VA in all coordination for future state planning performed by the VA Project Team and VA support organizations. The Contractor shall map current business processes to out-of-the-box capabilities of SaaS and PaaS to maximize configuration and minimize development.
    • Document object schema to include all relationships to existing and new objects.
    • Create the CRUD (create, read, update, delete) matrix for each object/field for all users of the new functionality as well as data/record level security requirements.
    • Define specifications, to include design of any workflows, process builder components, apex triggers and classes, visual flows and visual force pages, page layout requirements, report types, Wave Analytics dataflow requirements, and batch jobs.
    • Document exception approvals for any customizations, including Apex, Visualforce, and new profiles, as specified in the Development Standards.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12 years of experience, Master's with 10 years of experience, or Phd with 7
  • Must be a U.S Citizen to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must have Salesforce integration experience
  • Prefer Veterans Affairs experience with IT and Cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with SaaS/PaaS integrations (Salesforce, Pega, Microsoft Power Dynamics, etc.).
  • Experience delivering technical solutions using a Human Centered Design approach.
  • Experience using Agile SAFe methods within the government environment; prefer use of Salesforce Accelerator, Jira, etc.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
