Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of a facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering project to ensure that it is safely completed on time and within scope and budget. Responsible for completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delays. May be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and working with external vendors, subcontractors or contractors. Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to project team and client. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones. May have responsibilities to communicate with the client and deliver work products to satisfaction of client. Coordinates effort with APR to make sure that APR has opportunity to engage throughout the project, particularly at critical junctures. Is involved with approving invoices, preparing change orders, and collections.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage small projects or project phases under direct supervision.
  • Implement project plans and address operational issues to minimize delays.
  • Lead and ensure compliance with safety plans.
  • Analyze project requirements, perform calculations, write reports, and complete deliverables.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors to meet service standards.
  • Estimate costs, resources, and time for project phases; monitor and allocate resources.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet targets.
  • Submit project deliverables as per contract scope and schedule.
  • Ensure work is delivered within the approved budget.
  • Coordinate with APR for oversight and reviews at critical junctures.
  • Understand and manage project-related risks and company risk policies.
  • Promote and model a safe work environment; ensure team follows safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and improve quality standards on projects; engage APRs at project onset.
  • Coordinate SOQ/RFP documentation and develop QA/QC processes.
  • Handle miscellaneous legal reviews.
  • Work with Project Accountant on financial aspects like invoice preparation and subconsultant reviews.
  • Assist with setup, tracking, and facilitation of tender phase exploration programs.
  • Review and submit technical documents for tender phases.
  • Assist with contract reviews, change orders, and subconsultant contracts.
  • Facilitate insurance submissions and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Accountant on project registration and budgeting.
  • Facilitate project protocols, documentation setup, and safety training.
  • Manage exploration program logistics, including field staffing and supplies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline practices by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and a minimum of 2 years' related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years' related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred:
  • Alternate Delivery Transportation experience.
NOTE: This position will be filled as a remote or hybrid position, depending on the location of the candidate.

This position has been categorized as a "Remote Only" position. "Remote Only" employees do not have a designated workspace at an office, and typically work from home or another location.

The national standard salary range for this position is $60,400-$93,600. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
