Location:

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid status of reporting to Parnall in Jackson, MI every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with home office flexibility on Wednesday and Friday.

We are looking for: Senior Program Engineer (LVD Planning)

The Senior Program Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project. The incumbent works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. Schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

The knowledge and skills involved with this position include but are not limited to:



  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office, with aptitude for learning new software
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles
  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program with four (4) or more years of applicable engineering experience

In this role:

Primary tasks will be focused on the LVD System improvement workplan implementation with an additional focus topic of Automation Transfer Recloser (ATR) Loop workplan execution. This role requires significant interaction with other departments and partnering with those departments to manage the Low Voltage Distribution system improvement projects across the state. This role will include Electric On-time Delivery Rally Room reporting, regular alignment with cross-functional teams, problem solving, visual management creation and maintenance, and other required tasks as necessary to successfully implement the Electric Reliability Roadmap. Some of the tasks include:




  • Managing the ATR workplan and financials.
  • Managing the entire LVD system improvement workplan for current and future years.
  • Reporting and Presenting to Sr. Leadership on workplan status and financials.
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders in planning, forecasting, and problem solving relating to project workplans.
  • Supporting capital program managers regarding workplan forecasting.
  • Supporting regulatory filings and initiatives.
  • Reviewing, creating, and collaborating on work standards and process changes.
  • Creating and maintaining visual management.
  • Organizing and analyzing large quantities of project and financial data.
  • May be responsible for contractor oversight.


  • Build strong partnerships with business partners and deeply understand their business goals.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
  • Provide assistance and technical support to project managers and other project participants.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions.
  • Support the Agile project delivery cadence by helping balance team performance with tight deadlines. Develop specifications for the project's needed equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary.
