The Senior Director, Retention & Graduation Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for advancing student success and retention at FGCU by developing and managing programs aligned with the university's strategic goals. Key duties include overseeing student success technologies, case management, transition programming, and initiatives to boost retention and timely graduation. The role involves leading and integrating student success technology within transition and retention efforts, collaborating with academic leaders, and creating effective and proactive academic interventions. It also includes managing and enhancing student success technology and CRM systems, performing data analysis, and providing technical expertise. As a liaison between technical and functional teams, this position ensures collaboration across campus and alignment with university objectives.

Job Description Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Leads a team of professionals in designing and implementing evidence-based programs and initiatives to support student retention and graduation.
- Develops and executes strategies to achieve key performance indicators and metrics related to the University's strategic plan. Works toward continuous improvement and innovation of business processes and systems to improve and maintain state performance-based funding metrics.
- Leads the Retention and Graduation department to identify and operationalize trends and factors tied to degree progression and degree completion that can be used to develop strategies to enhance student retention and timely graduation.
- Implements data-driven approaches to identify at-risk students and develop targeted interventions to support their academic progress and success. Works closely with Institutional Research & Planning to identify students in need of intervention at all points in the student academic experience.
- Works directly with the leadership across the University to facilitate partnerships and create and manage a plan for effective student-level interventions and implementation of best practices.
- Collaborates with Student Success & Enrollment Management (SSEM) and academic units and departments to integrate retention and graduation strategies across the university.
- Provides an integrated vision for the Retention & Graduation and Transition Programs teams to effectively and proactively identify and refer students to academic and student care services support.
- Utilizes data analytics to monitor and assess the effectiveness of retention and graduation initiatives.
- Functions as a subject matter expert on system functionality and usage, staying up to date on evolving University performance objectives, system developments, capabilities/enhancements, and future programming requirements.
- Responsible for up-to-date monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of data institutional visualization tools, including enhancing and maintaining the University's Early Alert system.
- Manages training and workshops for campus stakeholders in navigating the CRM system for best practices.
- Provides continued technical leadership in the design, analysis, development, and maintenance of mission-critical CRM systems that support student success and institutional performance.
- Prepares regular reports on retention and graduation rates, identifying trends and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develops and maintains accurate records of student interventions, generates regular activity reports, and provides updated information to the university community as needed.
- Works closely with faculty, staff, and administration to promote campus-wide culture of student success and academic excellence.

Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:
- This position requires fourteen years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
