Regions available: Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fort Dodge, Madison, Quad Cities, Sioux City, and Waterloo Pay Rate Depends on the number of regions you sign-up for: All 8 Regions for Full Time (Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fort Dodge, Madison, Quad Cities, Sioux City, and Waterloo): $65/Hr East Regions (Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Madison, Quad Cities, Waterloo): $60/Hr West Regions (Des Moines, Fort Dodge, Sioux City): $60/Hr PRN (Non-benefit eligible): $50/Hr *We will discuss scheduling, assignment decision-making, placement, and other day to day operations during your phone screen after applying* We're looking for amazing nurses to join our exciting RN Travel Nurse Med/Surg Float Pool team. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and their families. Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence/Patient Care
- Conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the hospital's commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity
- Assists nursing with plan of care development and integrates a multidisciplinary approach
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities to other department associates and assumes responsibility for follow-up and collaboration
- Implements Nursing procedures according to departmental standards, hospital protocol and procedures and within scope of practice
- Continually evaluates outcomes of Nursing care by assessing patient/family responses and updating patient care to reflect changes in needs
- Successfully completes the hospital and department orientation and the annual hospital and department specific competencies

License(s)/Certification(s): |
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse. Dual licensure is required for this position: 1. Licensure in the state of Illinois 2. Licensure in a Compact State to enable practice in Iowa and Wisconsin. New hires who are not dual licensed in will have 90 days from date of hire to obtain and submit proof of dual licensure. (Proof of application for dual licensure is acceptable within the 90 day window if licensure processing has not been completed at the state level). Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Unit specific additional functions will be addressed in the competency checklist specific to the assigned unit. Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. |
Possess and maintain current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working on a unit with pediatric patients. Possess and maintain current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Possess and maintain current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 6 months of hire if working on telemetry, ICU, ER units. |

Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office - basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. |
