Under the general supervision of the Director of Strategic Management, the Project Manager assists with the implementation of DWIHN's strategies, goals, and objectives. This position will also assist with helping DWIHN receive and maintain NCQA accreditation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guides activities that are directly related to DWIHN strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Assists with DWIHN receiving and maintaining NCQA accreditation.
- Develops and maintains systems to monitor, measure, and report performance and achievement of programs, long-term goals and strategic initiatives.
- Delivers planning support to the DWIHN Provider Network, DWIHN Departments and associated Workgroups.
- Creates plans for the implementation of tasks associated with Strategic Goals.
- Assists with data collection and analysis.
- Manages policy and procedure development.
- Assists with establishing the long-term direction of DWIHN.
- Creates and presents reports to the DWIHN Board of Directors, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the Quality Improvement Steering Committee, and the Program Compliance Committee,
- Assists executive leadership in developing and approving annual goals.
- Oversees the use of project management tools.
- Participates in the development and implementation of long-term and short-term strategic plans, objectives and goals.
- Administers the PolicyStat software program which tracks all DWIHN Policies and Procedures.
- Administers the Cascade software program which manages the DWIHN Strategic Plan.
- Ensures that submitted goals and objectives align with the DWIHN strategic plan.
- Ensures that DWIHN Provider Network goals and objectives align with the DWIHN strategic plan.
- Completes Quarterly status reports on the progress of the strategic plan.
- Ensures that policies and procedures are current and comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Conducts gap analysis as it relates to the current performance and the strategic goals.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in a Human Services, Social Services (i.e. Sociology, Psychology, Social Work), Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) years of full-time paid professional work experience providing strategic management for an organization or a large organizational project.
AND
One (1) year of full-time paid experience performing quality management or quality improvement duties and responsibilities.
REQUIRED LICENSE(S).
A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
NOTE: Employees are required to have an operable vehicle available during work hours.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is usually performed in an office setting but requires the employee to drive to different sites throughout Wayne County and the State of Michigan.
