How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:
Responsible for procurement of furnishings, finishes, equipment and accessories, monitoring of purchase orders, contracts and payments for all construction projects and facilities needs. Responsible for timely availability of product and contractor payments.
- Obtains pricing information for furnishings, furniture, equipment and accessories. Participates in price negotiations with vendors. Interfaces with designers and project managers to understand project scope, requirements and related issues. Maintains current certificates of Insurance for all suppliers, professional service providers and contractors.
- Processes purchase requests for furniture, furnishings, equipment and accessories, as needed by project schedules, after thorough review for completeness including proper signature authorization. Places orders by mail, fax or electronic transmittal. Establishes and maintains an accurate status report on all purchase orders, and alerts stakeholders of impending impacts and deviations.
- Assists project managers and designers by coordinating installations. Coordinates projects of limited scope.
- Creates and maintains an electronic master file for each project containing budget authorization, purchase orders, records, payment tracking information and related correspondence.
- Maintains files of architect and general contractor contracts. Reviews requests for payment for accuracy and supporting data and obtains approval by Project Managers and Director. Ensures timely processing by Accounts Payable.
- Responsible for receiving product and tagging with the necessary Project information. Researches and resolves purchasing issues on pricing, shipment quantities and product quality.
- Maintains project expense files for furnishings, furniture, equipment accessories and specialty contractors to establish the baseline for budget preparation.
- Maintains knowledge with latest in procurement trends and pursues professional improvement.
What We Require:
Education: High school diploma is required. Associate Degree in Business Management or related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience: Three to five years as a buyer or working in procurement. Experience with Healthcare regulatory and safety requirements helpful.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), problem-solving and teamwork skills required. Self-motivated. Aptitude for detailed record keeping. Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
