Description

Our Lamar Corporate office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is now hiring a NOC Coordinator! This position is responsible for facilitating communication between the NOC Admins, Lamar Field office, and Vendors by handling RMA requests and parts tracking within our ticketing system while also providing entry level technical and administrative support to the NOC Administrators.

What we're looking for in YOU:



  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required to communicate technical information to multiple parties
  • Ability to organize work and prioritize ongoing assignments to manage time effectively
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on details
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in Microsoft Word and Excel


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of experience in an office setting is preferred


A day in the life:



  • Manage Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA): Facilitate and process RMAs efficiently, ensuring timely return and delivery of parts to the designated plant.
  • Parts Tracking & Coordination: Handle all tracking and management of parts between plants and vendors, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
  • Communicate Parts Delivery: Provide clear and timely updates on parts delivery to plant teams via the ticketing system, ensuring they are informed throughout the process.
  • Ticket Management & Updates: Regularly update the status of open work orders in the ticketing system, ensuring field teams have accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to unreturned or missing parts between vendors and plants, maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Network Monitoring: Conduct daily web camera checks for network infrastructure to ensure operational continuity and report any issues immediately.
  • Ticket Creation for Failures: Identify specific network failure types and open corresponding tickets for resolution and servicing.
  • Report Management: Organize, generate, and distribute key performance and incident reports for detailed review by NOC Administrators and stakeholders.
  • Inventory Management: Receive incoming inventory shipments, unpack, and perform accurate stock counts to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Hardware Testing: Test digital computer hardware for basic operational functionality, documenting results for troubleshooting and future reference.


Physical Demands and Work Environment



  • The primary work environment is an office environment
  • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
  • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 5%
