Within the Strategic Technology Consulting (STC) practice, we serve as trusted advisors and digital transformation experts to a diverse array of clients offering an independent, unbiased, and strategic perspective. Using an innovation mindset, we work with executives to help achieve business outcomes by assessing and applying technology while also accounting for the key dimensions of people and processes.

Example projects include technology assessments, strategic planning, technology systems and architecture design, vendor evaluation and selection, and implementation advisory for enterprise technologies. Our clients are varied in both size and complexity spanning many industries including (but not limited to) the public sector (state, local government), education (K-12 and higher ed), financial services, manufacturing & distribution, and not-for-profit.

Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Serve as an unbiased advisor and project manager, leading strategic technology projects for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive enterprise architecture and technology systems assessments to develop gap analysis and roadmap of initiatives for achieving technology and business goals.
  • Advise on digital transformation initiatives, lead technology solution evaluation and procurement projects, and provide implementation advisory support activities.
  • Develop technical designs and requests for proposals for the implementation of new technologies including enterprise networks, cloud services, on-premise computing/storage, telecommunications, audio-visual, physical security, and related technologies.
  • Participate in assessing enterprise technologies and IT operations, perform expert gap analysis, provide recommendations based on findings and industry best practices, and client goals.
  • Proficiently utilize Plante Moran's proprietary methodologies and tools, contributing to continuous improvement efforts of internal assets.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in specific technical domains (e.g., IT operations, enterprise networking, identity and access management).
  • Manage project teams using effective project management and develop staff through mentoring and thoughtful performance feedback.
  • Stay dedicated to continuous learning by researching industry and technology trends, sharing insights, and joining professional events and associations.
  • Support the firm's business development activities through professional networking, developing proposals, defining project scope and work plans, and participating in presentations to prospective clients.
  • Manage client relationships and project economics, including resource management, invoicing, and issue resolution.
The qualifications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Network Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required.
  • 6+ years of recent business technology experience, including but not limited to project management, and technology implementation.
  • Professional certifications in networking, cybersecurity, cloud, IT best practices, or project management are preferred.
  • Preference toward prior technology-related consulting and/or management consulting experience.
  • Technical specialization in one or more enterprise technology domains is desired.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage a diverse audience, from technical professionals to C-level executives.
  • Exceptional analytical and written communication skills including the ability to distill complex technical concepts into meaningful insights, as well as author detailed reports and summary presentations addressing the needs of both technical practitioners and C-level executives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous client projects and project activities efficiently.
  • Strong project and time management skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and project demands (20-30% overnight travel).
  • Ability to develop and grow internal relationships with colleagues both in person as well as in a remote setting.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows:

$9,500.00 to $11,250.00
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
