Job Summary:

At Belden we're seeking a Test Engineering Lead to help create our next-generation products that satisfy our customers needs. The Test Engineering Lead will use their deep professional knowledge and an understanding of the customer environment to propose and develop new and innovative solutions to customer problems. They will use their understanding of applied engineering, product lifecycle and technology advancement to help align and solve problems across multiple product lines using similar technology. The successful candidate will be hands on and curious with a focus on technology, remote collaboration, the application of engineering principles, and the ability to influence cross functionally to achieve department goals.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor QA talent in test strategies and theory across the SDLC, including requirements gathering, traceability and project delivery testing using manual and automation approaches.
• Maintaina comprehensive test strategy to test and validate Beldens cloud platform that includes feature, system, performance, security testing for front-end and back-end API testing, amongst others.
• Create a set of KPIs that allow you to make data-driven decisions on QA strategy and execution productivity.
• Work with and across other QA leads to establish the adoption of required governing conventions and innovation projects.
• Where applicable, leverage your experience and product knowledge to contribute to the architecture of the edge gateway product line.

What you will bring

• Education: Bachelors or higher degree in a related technical field (Electrical, Electronics Engineering/Computer Science) or equivalent experience in hardware and/or software engineering
• 8+ Years in QA or Development
• Experience working in an Agile based Software Development Lifecycle
• Defect management and issue prioritization
• In-depth understanding of and experience with testing frameworks using code such as Java, Python
• In-depth understanding of and experience with end-to-end testing of distributed networks and cloud environments, including Website, Mobile, and API testing
• In-depth understanding of and experience with networking technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls, telemetry, NetConf, VPN, etc
• Familiarity with Network Protocol Analyzers such as Wireshark
• In-depth understanding of and experience with automated tools such as Jenkins, security, penetration testing, etc
• Ability to balance long-term objectives with short-term goals
• Proven track record of working seamlessly with offshore teams, including breaking down large tasks into smaller and actionable pieces
• Detail oriented, and the ability to do gap analysis using Zephyr or other tools
• Understanding architectural differences between cloud and on-premises deployments

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $97,500 - $146, 300plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
