As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Billing Credit Specialist to join our team and support corporate and non-corporate account customers with invoice collection, pricing issues, order review and resolving credit-related disputes. What You Will Do:
- Account Collections: Perform collections for corporate and non-corporate accounts through outbound calls, invoice reviews, A/P portals, and email correspondence with Accounts Payable contacts.
- Customer Interaction: Respond to incoming calls, emails, and mail inquiries from customers, addressing any credit or payment-related issues.
- Dispute Resolution: Research and resolve invoice disputes and payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communication: Maintain strong written and verbal communication to ensure business relationships are upheld while managing past-due accounts.
- Collaborative Support: Provide accurate and timely information to customers, sales teams, and credit departments to resolve issues and support the customer experience.
Position Details:
- The working hours for this position areMonday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM and 100% on-site at our Schenectady office.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience working in credit, finance, accounting, customer service, and/or related technical or customer service field
- No immigration sponsorship available
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a finance, accounting, business or a related field
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Access, or the ability to be trained
- Credit/collections experience and/or customer service experience related to large corporate customers
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Access)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
- Self-motivated and both detail and process oriented
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
