P/T Sales and Use Tax Specialist

Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in East Aurora, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• Preparation of over 50 sales and use tax returns (monthly, quarterly, annually)
• Sales and use tax technical analysis, research and interpretation
• Reverse use tax audits for various states
• Point person for site-by-site tax engine SAP implementation
• Process improvement involving a variety of ERP systems
• Collaboration with accounts payable, procurement, sales and accounts receivable
• Sales and use tax general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare sales tax exemption documents and maintain a database of executed resale and exemption certificates supplied to vendors
• Collection and maintenance of customer resale and exemption certificates
• Prepare 1099 forms
• Addressing notices from taxing authorities/point person for sales/use tax audits
• Respond to internal inquiries related to taxability
• Other duties as assigned.

• Starting Pay rate: $25.00/Hour.
• Hours: 20 hours/week 1st Shift
• Length: Temp (12 Months)

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum of 2 years experience using the engine (TR or Vertex)
