Position Summary: Regal Rexnord is looking for a Supply Chain Cost Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the success of the Global Supply Chain Management team as we support Regal Rexnord's aggressive growth goals with extensive new product development (NPD) and our Supply Chain Optimization initiatives. As a Supply Chain Cost Engineer at Regal Rexnord, you will be integral in helping the company achieve its strategic objectives by optimizing the cost structure across our global supply chain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, procurement, and logistics, engineering, category management, to assess cost drivers, identify efficiencies, and contribute to cost reduction initiatives. Your work will directly support Regal Rexnord's aggressive growth targets, with a particular focus on supporting new product development (NPD), value add value engineer (VAVE), and advancing our supply chain optimization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost models to support key decisions in new product development (NPD) and ongoing supply chain operations. Analyze the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the supply chain, including procurement, manufacturing, transportation, and warehousing.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within Regal Rexnord's global supply chain. Leverage data analytics to monitor cost trends, assess cost impacts, and recommend actionable improvements in key supply chain processes.
  • Partner with engineering, product development, and sourcing teams during the new product development process to assess and minimize the cost impact of new products on the overall supply chain. Develop cost structures for new product introductions and validate supply chain strategies for production scalability and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts across the supply chain, focusing on driving down costs without compromising quality, lead times, or customer satisfaction. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Budgeting & Reporting: Support the development of annual supply chain budgets and track performance against cost targets. Provide regular cost performance reports, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Proactively assess potential cost risks across the supply chain, including fluctuations in raw material prices, transportation costs, and regulatory changes, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain costs, such as cost per unit, cost to serve, and total landed cost. Analyze performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3 years' of experience in supply chain cost engineering, supply chain management, or a related field, ideally in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Proven success with cost-reduction strategies.
  • Experience with large scale project management across multiple functional teams.
  • Experience working with new product development (NPD) teams and understanding the cost implications of product lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience in cost modeling, cost estimation, and financial analysis within the supply chain context.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management systems, ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle), and advanced data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
