Examines patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues.
Qualifications Education Requirement * Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school, required. * Bachelor's Degree, preferred. Licensure Requirement * Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, required. * Passed the National Boards, required. * Passed the Northeast Regional Boards, required. Certifications Certified in CPR, required. Skills * Robust communication skills, required. * Demonstrates ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients. * Possesses strong manual dexterity. Experience Six months of relevant experience, preferred. Physical Requirements: OCCASIONALLY: Biohazard waste, Climb stairs/ladder, Cold Temperatures, Hot Temperatures, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 41-60 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 61-100 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 100 lbs or greater with assistance, Pushing / Pulling: 26-40 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 41-60 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 61-100 lbs FREQUENTLY: Bend/twist, Chemicals/Medications, Decision Making, Flexing/extending of neck, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Loud Noises, Machinery, Problem solving, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Sitting, Squat/kneel, Standing CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Color vision, Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens, Computer skills, Depth perception, Fume /Gases /Vapors, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Patient Equipment, Peripheral vision, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing Far/near, WalkingAdditional Physical Requirements performed but not listed above:Potential for Radiation Exposure,Demanding environment.Will need to be able to multitask.Talking on phone/in person Constantly (67-100%) The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
