midsouth.ualr.edu Summary of Job Duties:The MidSOUTH Child Welfare Contracts Coordinator is responsible for provision of collaborative leadership and vision for varied Child Welfare programs, projects and initiatives. This position will oversee, develop, monitor, and analyze program deliverables. This position will also identify and follow through on new initiatives that fall within the mission of MidSOUTH's Child Welfare programs. This is a twelve-month grant funded position and employment is contingent upon continued funding. State and federal laws and agency/institution policy govern this position. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work with a current Arkansas LSW license, and current enrollment in a qualifying Master's degree program; OR
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Addictions Studies, Public Administration, or closely related field;
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with children and families;
  • Three (3) years experience with Project management, or grant/contract related projects; customer service experience;
  • Experience providing direct supervision of individuals/teams;
  • Good computer skills (Work, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work with current Arkansas LMSW/LCSW licensure;
  • Experience and training in curriculum development and training delivery;
  • Experience with project management, and grant/contract related projects;
  • Customer service experience;
  • Experience working and /or coordinating with state agencies;
  • Excellent established relationship with the UALR academic and administrative community;
  • Experience working for a state child welfare agency or experience working directly with a state child welfare agencies through contracted services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Oversee vision and direction of MidSOUTH's Child Welfare programs;
  • Provide collaborative leadership and vision for varied programs/projects, initiatives, partners, and engagement in multiple contract initiatives;
  • Participate in Academic Partnerships and Community Partnerships to promote knowledge dissemination, training, and research;
  • Participate in DCFS's Training Skills Development Team;
  • Serve on work groups representing MidSOUTH;
  • Serve as resource for trainings and conferences as a subject matter expert;
  • Maintain positive customer relationships with funders and stakeholders.

Supervision:

  • Provide oversight for Child Welfare staff and programs as assigned by MidSOUTH Director;
  • Provide direct supervision of the Training Director, Curriculum Lead, Field Training Coordinator, SOP Training Coordinator, and others as assigned by the MidSOUTH Director, including completion of annual staff evaluations;
  • Provide oversight and training of Workday tasks for IV-E teams;
  • Provide consultation and guidance related to child welfare in-home services with DCFS, as needed.

Project Management:

  • Review Child Welfare budgets to ensure spending is on target;
  • Assist in the establishment of Child Welfare budgets;
  • Develop and monitor Child Welfare timelines to ensure progress is being made in achieving contract deliverables and analyze timelines annually to improve efficiency and utilization of funding;
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of Child Welfare project reports to the grantor in a timely fashion, assist with grant/contract writing, and support grant missions, goals, and principles;
  • Provide fidelity monitoring of IV-E trainings, including field and classroom trainings;
  • Provide oversight to databases used across Child Welfare contracted programs;
  • Proactively research Child Welfare training and prevention funding, keep apprised of trends in Child Welfare in order to forecast better services, and identify new partnership opportunities;
  • Develop and oversee small work groups within the agency to achieve Child Welfare program deliverables.

Collaboration/Training:

  • Communicate Child Welfare Programs' IT needs (hardware, software, required licenses, and such) with MidSOUTH's IT Director, as provide follow-up and support as required ;
  • Develop and maintain relationships withUA Little Rock's School of Social Work faculty and University-wide interdisciplinary committees to foster MidSOUTH projects;
  • Oversee the MidSOUTH interdisciplinary team efforts, meetings, and projects;
  • Act as a liaison between MidSOUTH andUA Little Rock's School of Social Work in developing social workinstruction or delivery of child welfare courses;
  • Provide training to stakeholders re: areas of diversity, ethics, etc. in human services and aid in the development of new project areas as requested;
  • Work with current Child Welfare funders and stakeholders while developing future project.

Additional Information:

Salary Information:

$62,000 - $65,000
