Summary of Job Duties:The Associate Director, Annual Giving manages the University's crowdfunding program and digital fundraising strategy while supporting other core areas of annual giving operations including giving day and giving societies. This position serves as the lead for implementing strategic growth of the university's crowdfunding program, FundRAZOR, and directs the execution of individual project strategy while also assisting with the development, strategy, and implementation of a giving day.

The Associate Director will manage needs associated with the online giving site, including custom URLs and QR codes, ensuring optimal usability for internal and external constituents to increase fundraising. This position provides key support for all annual giving societies in the areas of strategy, reporting, and special projects. Additionally, the Associate Director assists with direct mail and digital marketing projects, giving society events, stewardship and other duties as needed.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Engagement, the Associate Director embodies values of integrity, service, leadership, inclusion, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least one to three years of fundraising experience, preferably in higher education
  • At least one year working in donor management software or database experience
  • At least one year of supervisory or volunteer management experience
  • At least one year of managing and analyzing data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience organizing and implementing crowdfunding efforts and days of giving
  • Three or more years of experience researching and synthesizing data for reports
  • Three or more years of fundraising experience
  • Proven success in applying creative approaches and innovative strategies to project development and management
  • Proven record of leadership and collaborative skills
  • Graduate of the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville

  • Possesses knowledge and interpretation of current trends in higher education, philanthropy and engagement
  • Requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills in data analysis to translate data into actionable information through recognizing connections and make meaning out of data
  • Requires problem solving skills to identify gaps, prioritize opportunities and challenges and guide good decision-making
  • Displays exceptionally strong written and oral communications skills and the ability to describe complex technical information clearly, consistently and effectively
  • Requires understanding and ability to interact at a high-level with campus constituents, specifically, major gift officers in schools, colleges and units, on a proactive and on-going basis
  • Must excel at working in cross-functional collaborations, working with teams to create innovative strategies and tactics that support Advancement's strategic objectives and goals
