Role Summary:



  • The candidate will be placed in an interdisciplinary team working towards autonomous driving functions.
  • The intern will use a prototype vehicle equipped with state of the art sensors to access to the vehicles internal communication systems.
  • The internship includes evaluation and implementation of state-of-the-art algorithms to enable automated driving features.


Role Responsibilities:



  • Research and evaluation of state of the art perception, motion planning, simulation or control algorithms
  • Implementation and extension of algorithms in Python or C++ for autonomous driving features
  • Integration and optimization of source code for a prototype vehicle

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education-Required:



  • Must be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months


Skills:



  • Student must possess know-how in mapping, planning and control algorithms
  • Strong background in C++ or Python
  • Experience with ROS and CAN communication
  • Experience with Linux systems or embedded devices
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus


Specialized Skills- Required:



  • Vehicle communication data
  • Advanced sensor technologies
  • State of the art Environment Perception data



In San Jose, California, the hourly rates for this role are based on level of education:

* Undergraduate (Junior or Senior): $35/hour

* Graduate (Master's): $38/hour

* PhD: $42/hour
