JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Toews Lab of Pennsylvania State University seeks to hire five seasonal field technicians to monitor Vermivora (golden-winged, blue-winged, Brewster's, and Lawrence's) warblers on Fort Drum, New York from 15 April - 15 July 2025. Primary tasks include nest searching and monitoring, target-netting, and color banding and bleeding both adult and nestling warblers. Shared field housing, per diem for meals, and the use of field vehicles will be provided. Required Qualifications:
Applicants should be comfortable working alone in the field and able to maintain a good attitude in the face of poor weather conditions and biting insects. The ability to follow strict protocols and use common sense when accessing US Army training areas is essential. Applicants should have good hearing and full-color vision and be able to walk up to several miles a day over uneven terrain. Ideal applicants will be self-motivated, patient, and have a good sense of humor. Preferred Qualifications:
