Across our US offices or within client development sites, our Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Location: Onsite - Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities:

* Should be able to lead delivery and architecture for Device Engineering -STB, SMARTTV, OTT Devices specific initiatives for RDK-Video middleware for Media, Graphic, connectivity functional use cases with integration of backend for UI/UX, Content protection and security, DBR and other VAS features.

* Excellent knowledge of C, C++ programming in multitasking embedded environment Linux application development and POSIX standards.

* Development and device monitoring experience with DOCSIS.

* Passive optical network Satellite network for WAN and Wifi MOCA for LAN is must.

* Deep understanding of low-level video software stack.

* Familiar with shell scripts Jira, Confluence, Git, Gerrit and Yocto.

* Good understanding of device drivers low level platform software.

* Ability to quickly understand and translate product requirements into technical solutions.

* Independent with good communication and team working skills.

* Solution focused with ability to plan anticipate issues consider risks and help deliver best value.

* Willing to take on challenges and adapt with changing priorities.

Qualifications:

* RDK experience - 5 -10 years

* Strong Network concepts.

* The ideal candidate will need to have background in RDK, embedded C/C++, Linux systems, Yocto, networking concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Deep understanding of Set Top Box software stack.

* Strong experience on RDK video stack Familiar with emerging trends in system profiling CPU, GPU, NPU, TPU, Memory, etc.

* Profiling and performance optimizations Native software development experience on Embedded Linux platforms.

* Understanding of Linux internals and media framework.

* Delivery experience of implementation of CWMP, TR69 and TR135 protocols and their parameter implementation for cable labs and Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) specs-based product lines.

* Experience with Linux Open-source framework - Yocto, media framework (Gstreammer), Graphics (Direct-FB), Device Drivers (USB, network netdevice) and file system for Broadcom, STM, Intel Qualcomm based SOC platform for RDK.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
